Alan's Reading List
I wasn't into books growing up.
I moved to Australia in late 2009, and work was hard to come by as the Financial crisis was hitting. I needed to upskill and do it cheaply.
Many job adverts were looking for advanced Excel, so I ordered a book online. My mind was blown away by what you could do in Excel. It turns out most users only know about 5% of its capability.
As I loved process improvement, learning about automation with Excel macros made me fall in love with non-fiction books and learning.
With my new skills, I was never short of a job.
Every time I want to learn something, I buy a book. Along with my own personal development and productivity, I love learning about how people influence in work and life.
Below I have started a list of my favourite books by sections. I will add to it over time.
